Bite type joint
The leakage in bite type joint is generally caused by huge external impact and crush force or drastic shacking. The force hurt the joint and make it distort release, then cause the leakage. On such occasion, you should check the joint to see if the cutting ferrule is out of round, if there is defect at the cutting edge, if the end is intact and the compress degree of nuts. In the mean time, you need to eliminate the external force.
Flaring type joint
Most of the leakage in flaring type joint is because of excessive expand, bad quality or load and unload for many times. These cause cracking or distortion and then cause leakage. You can cut the former end and make a new flaring. If the seal is male and female cone, that may because there are damage on the cone.
O-ring seal
There are several reasons for o-ring seal. First is the aging and distortion. Second is that o-ring assembly is not in place, so that the two planes are not pressed flat when connecting. Or o-ring seal is cut and cause leakage. Third is because the o-ring is uncompacted and lack of elasticity. For such situation, you should choose a new ring which has the same outer diameter.
