Energy saving and environmental protection
The energy consumption for producing one cubic meter of steel is 316KJ/m3, and the energy consumption for aluminum is 619KJ/m3. The energy consumption for producing one cubic meter of PVC is 70KJ/m3. That is, the energy consumption of steel is 4.5 times that of PVC, and the energy consumption of aluminum is 8.8 times that of PVC. The processing energy consumption for producing PVC hoses is only one-third of that of metal pipes of the same caliber. At the same time, because the wall of PVC pipes is smooth, no corrosion tumors form, and the water delivery efficiency is high, it can save about 20% of electricity for infusion.
Long service life
PVC pipe has good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. In addition, it is light in weight, easy to install, and does not require maintenance. The sewer pipe made of steel for public works must be frequently coated with paint during use because they are easy to corrode. And the maintenance cost is high. Metal pipes for general buildings and public works need to be replaced in about 20 years. The service life of PVC flexible hose is up to 50 years. Therefore, PVC hose pipe is a good plastic product with low production cost, high strength and corrosion resistance.
Cost Advantages
Generally speaking, in terms of sewage, wastewater and ventilation pipes, PVC pipes save about 16-37% of installation and labor costs compared to cast iron pipes. As wire pipes, they save 30-33% of costs compared to metal wire sleeves. In terms of hot and cold water, they save 23-44% of costs compared to copper pipes of the same size. Therefore, due to the advantages of PVC pipes, all countries are actively developing and promoting PVC pipes.
